Broadway on Broadway

FADE IN: EXT. STREET – EVENING

Los Angeles. A few years from now.

A well-dressed couple appears from the steps of the 7th Street/Metro Rail Station. They navigate their way against the crowd of purple and gold that is headed toward L.A. Live, for a game at Staples. Holding hands, they smile at each other, and make their way down Restaurant Row toward a bustling Broadway. Century-old street lamps light their way, adorned with garland and wreaths celebrating the holiday season. The faint bells of a horse-drawn carriage, presumably on its way to the Great Tree at Pershing Square, are drowned out by sudden approach of a trolley from Broadway.

They arrive at the State Theatre, relieved. They’re just in time for curtain.
