Taking the subway to the airport

Since our elected officials have officially admitted that there is no official master traffic plan for the City of Los Angeles, I am officially at a loss for words.

I know L.A. has a City Hall. It’s white and shiny, like a lot of the suits that work there. Question is, why we keep paying them for services not rendered. Get to work, already.

Here’s another idea that might fit in somehow with any future master plan:

The Metro Fly Line

Imagine non-stop rail service between Union Station and every major regional airport. LAX, Palmdale, Van Nuys, Bob Hope, Long Beach, John Wayne, and Ontario, all running through the heart of Los Angeles Metro Rail.

This airport-only line could have the potential to greatly reduce the amount of airline travelers on area freeways. Not to mention lightening the load at LAX. It’s fast, it’s easy, it’s stress-free. You could park at the nearest airport or station, and get on the Fly Line to the airport of your departure.

On second though, let’s just put in some left-turn signals and call it a day.
