The best movie experience in L.A.

08Aug07

If you’re an actor, preparation is everything. Creating a character. Writing a backstory. Defining your previous moment.

Watching movies.

Yes, it is homework. And like school, you want to study in the best atmosphere available. When it comes to serious film viewing, the only choice is ArcLight. You can buy tickets online, select your seat, and show up right before the movie. No throwing a jacket down to reserve a seat, or taking turns running to the bathroom or concession stand. No annoying people to tune out.

Good news for actors and other movie lovers in the Valley: ArcLight Sherman Oaks is on the way. CurbedLA and The L.A. Daily News report that the Pacific Theaters Galleria 16 went dark on Monday to undergo the facelift.

Should you decide you miss the crying babies and people randomly yelling “oh no you didn’t!” at the screen, you can still watch movies at the AMC in Burbank.
